Every day of prayer plants a tree

Day by day the trees stand side by side, and by the end of the month you can look back at a forest you grew with your prayers. A day without prayer stays dry ground, waiting for water.

Why Siratum

A garden that started with a hadith

Assalamu alaikum, I'm Onur.

As a child I read a hadith. The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Whoever says Subhan Allahil-Azim wa bihamdihi, a palm tree is planted for him in Paradise.” Somehow it never left me. Ever since, when I finish my prayer and say my tasbih, I picture a garden of mine in Paradise, with a new sapling planted there each time.

Then I grew up and started to struggle to pray on time. The adhan was calling, but I was on my phone; I saw the reminders and scrolled past them. I needed something that would really get me off my phone.

One day I built a small app for myself: so my phone would stop when the adhan came, and every prayer I offered would add a tree to the garden I imagined as a child. For years it lived only on my phone.

It did me good. Maybe it will do you good too, so I decided to share it.

If you miss a day, don't worry, you'll plant again tomorrow. And if you get stuck anywhere, write to me. I read the messages myself.
